Harlyn Bay is situated in an unspoilt and beautiful part of the North Cornish Coast. It is a great location for families with a delightful sandy beach. The sea is ideal for bathing, swimming, surfing, wind-surfing etc. Harlyn also benefits from its own surfing school. There are many other sandy beaches nearby too.
Less than 1 mile away are the villages of St Merryn and Constantine. The area is renowned for its seven spectacular bays and surfing beaches. There are many shops providing daily requirements (including newsagent, post office, groceries, bakery, deli, petrol station, pubs, takeaway, fish & chips and restaurants) – you can also hire wet suits, surfboards etc. Mother Ivey’s Bay is also very near where they now launch for the Padstow Lifeboat.
Trevose Golf Club overlooks the sea and is about ½ mile from Hesselwood. Home of the championship golf course, it is an excellent Golf Club having two 9 hole and one 18 hole courses, as well as a swimming pool, tennis courts, table tennis, restaurant, bar etc. It is very popular and it is possible to join as a temporary member.
Padstow is a quaint old fishing village situated approx. 3 miles away with its towering cliffs, wide sandy beaches, hidden coves and beautiful countryside. At its heart is a charming harbour which opens on to the Camel Estuary. Along the crooked streets nestle quaint buildings, cosy quayside inns, acclaimed eateries including Rick Stein’s Seafood Restaurant and a range of individual shops. From art galleries to ice cream, designer clothes to Cornish pasties, and speedboats to the old-fashioned Cinedrome, there is something for everyone.
